The students of Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai’s College of Architecture, New Panvel participated in the sports event TUG OF WAR on 26th November, 2021.
After spending more than a year in online classes and events, the first offline event after the reopening had to be a fun, energetic, and enthusiastic sports event. Exercise and sports participation has long been established as important factor in reducing the risk of many physical problems. Sport has many physical benefits, but there are also many other benefits that taking part in sport can provide, this makes sport an important part of each individual’s life. Sport can be a powerful tool for educational establishments to use. Pandemic did bring a little gap between the bonds between classmates and seniors and juniors. But the event made each and everyone unite and improve the connections with everyone.
How was the event conducted?
There were 2 categories of boys and girls, in which students from II year to V year participated. It was a house-wise event in which the 5 houses- CENTAUR, PHOENIX, PEGASUS, TITAN & VISERION competed against a particular house. Each house team had 8 members in their team. Using the chits, it was decided which house will compete against which house.
