Inclusive Social Awareness:
World Water Day (WWD) is held annually on 22nd March as a means to focus attention on the importance of Water and to advocate for the sustainable management of water resources.

Water conservation has become the biggest need in today’s time which all should take care of. It’s truly said that “All the water there will ever be is; right now,” Water is our most precious resource-we must use it more responsibly. We must balance all of society’s water needs while ensuring the poorest people don’t get left behind.

How is the day celebrated?
For celebrating World Water Day, we showed an inspirational video by Paani Foundation. The video shows how the people of Maharashtra came together defeating the darkness, people set out on torch-lit-rally’s hordes of people gathered in the fields, to resounding drumbeats. And as this madness grew, a storm of change grip the entire state. They were united in the single resolve of defeating drought. The people from the video explained to us the importance of water and how precious it is to everyone.

They also schooled us about the different types of water conservation methods. Quiz was conducted on the current affairs of water crisis. It was conducted house wise. Each house consisting of five members. There were three rounds. after each round one house was eliminated with the least points and at the end the team with maximum points was winner. The winner of the quiz competition were house “centaur” and “titan”.

Students also contributed in raising the awareness about world water day by clicking photographs on the theme of water conservation. The students showed great participation in the quiz competition on current affairs of water crisis.
