On account of INDIAN ARMY DAY 2022, Anubhuti of PiCA and Senate, PiCA Student Council in association with women development cell organised the Guest Lecture titled “Career Opportunities in Defence particularly for Women” by Capt. Tanuja Kabre
Who is Capt. Tanuja Kabre?
Capt Tanuja Kabre is a retired Army Officer who has chosen to follow her passion at every junction in her career path. A graduate in Physics, Post Graduate Diploma in school counselling, PGDBM in general management. She has served 5 years for our country as an adjutant in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir and retired as a captain from Mhow, Indore as a barrack store officer. She was selected for the Army Marksmanship Unit in Mhow for pistol shooting. She has made remarkable contributions to various flood relief operations in the North East. After visiting various schools and colleges as a motivational speaker she realized that there is a huge gap between the existing schooling system and opportunities to learn leadership skills in various careers. She came up with a unique idea to develop a campsite in a severe jungle near Mumbai and started her very own brainchild ‘Fauji ki Paathshala’.

The online guest lecture was conducted on 18th January, 2022 on zoom meeting platform at 3:30 p.m. Students & Faculties from Pillai College of Architecture and other Pillai branches (PCACS, PCE) attended the guest lecture. 115-118 participants attended the lecture. The lecture was an effort for students to guide them about the opportunities in Defence particularly for women and for them to acknowledge the correspondent and obligation to our mother nation. Capt Tanuja Kabre broadened our perspective and knowledge about life and Defence by sharing us the insights of fauj.
