Aim of the lecture:
To sensitize students about how to important it is to understand the designing process of a furniture in wood, its components and making process.
This lecture was arranged specially for Semester 4 – College Project Studio where students have already designed a chair in plywood. Students brought A2 Sheets and Model that exhibited their ideas to Guest who went through all the work of the students and gave comments on the possibility of the concept to be developed into real piece of furniture along with the joinery
About the Guest:
Jay Mali is an Architect graduated from Sir J.J College of Architecture.

Discussions during lecture:
Students and guest lecturer had very good discussion about the concept and ideas feasibility, joinery details were discussed and elaborately worked upon the working principles of points where the load needs to be thought upon while designing the chair and making the working drawings for the same.
Students take away:
Students realized various aspects of design of the furniture as explained during discussion as well as presentation shared by the guest.
