Sharing with respect
Annual event celebrated at Pillais Panvel Campus; for the people and by the people.

Event highlights:

  1. Sharing whats in excess or not applicable.
  2. Items collected sold at very reasonable prices.
  3. Selling and buying as a novel experience.

The idea of Sharing:
Jumble sale is an yearly event where everyone gets together to share what they have in excess with others who are in need at a minimal cost.

This ensures that the takers don’t feel overwhelmed by charity and the givers feel satisfied in donating for a purpose, rather than to a person.

The motive of the event is to bridge the gap Between the haves and have-nots of the societies and to encourage collective donation.

A few days prior to the event, donations were collected at various centers within the campus. The donations included garments for all age groups, toys, bags and books.

The stalls were set up on the day of the event and handled by the members of Anubhuti.

The stalls were primarily set up where garments, jwellery and other nic nacs and were sold at minimal cost.

The event was successful and had a commendable response.

The staff members of PICA and MES as a whole look forward to this event and buy items are throw away prices. The feel good factor of this event helps people connect with each other and rejoice.

The event was coordinated by M.E.S. With the help of Anubhuti, the social service wing of PICA, items collected from PICANs were put up for sale at the PICA counter. The event was attended by about 1200 students and staff of M.E.S. People came from Rasayani and Goregaon to participate in the event and share the JOY.
