MES’ Pillai College of Architecture, New Panvel signs MOU with Panvel Municipal Corporation Pillai College of Architecture (PiCA) has been committed to delivering quality education since its inception in 1992. In order to work on research and design related activities for the betterment of Panvel City alongside Panvel Municipal Corporation, PiCA has entered into a MOU on 10th December, 2021. PMC Commissioner Mr. Ganesh Deshmukh graciously signed the MOU presented by Principal Dr. Sudnya Mahimkar and Prof. Dr. Smita Dalvi. Dr. Nivedita Shreyans, Director PR MES, Prof. Kavita Pradhan from PiCA, Mr. Sanjay Jagtap and Mr. Sanjay Katekar from PMC were also present for the signing ceremony.
PiCA has recently submitted a proposal for the Council of Architecture’s Urban Studio Research Project in which PiCA aspires to work on research, documentation and design interventions for Revitalization of lakes of Panvel in order to make the lakes into vibrant social places. The MOU encourages the students to participate in competitions announced for designing of various public spaces of Panvel within the PMC limit. It also plans to promote awareness about Panvel’s history among the citizens.
On behalf of PMC, Commissioner Mr. Ganesh Deshmukh has agreed to support PiCA in this venture and other similar ventures for the benefit of PiCA students, faculty and alumni as they engage with the social projects for the greater good of the society.
