Introduction

The IKS (Indian Knowledge Systems) Exhibition was successfully organized by the Pillai Group of Institutions on 21st January 2025. This exhibition served as a platform to highlight assignments and projects that promote Indian Heritage, Culture, and Technology from ancient times to the present. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments, who showcased their work in the form of artifacts, photographs, drawings, and other creative displays.

Exhibition Highlights

The exhibition featured an impressive collection of models, drawings, photographs, and sketches, all reflecting deep insights into Indian Knowledge Systems. The students of Pillai College of Architecture played a significant role by displaying academic works inspired by their study tours. Their exhibits demonstrated a well-researched understanding of India’s rich cultural and architectural heritage.

Inauguration and Chief Guest. The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed chief guest, Mr. Vijay Kalantri, Chairman of the World Trade Centre. He inaugurated the Campus Heritage Museum, marking a significant milestone in preserving and promoting heritage awareness within the institution. During his visit, Mr. Kalantri interacted with students, offering valuable insights and encouragement. He also appreciated the efforts of Pillai College of Architecture (PICA) in integrating Indian Knowledge Systems into their academic curriculum and projects. The exhibition was curated under the able guidance of our Principal, Dr. Sudnya Mahimkar, along with faculty members leading the Humanities subject across all five years of the architecture program. Their continuous mentorship and academic inputs ensured that the exhibition maintained high standards of quality and relevance.

The IKS Exhibition 2025 was a remarkable event that successfully highlighted the significance of Indian Knowledge Systems through student-driven creative expressions.
