Students of Pillai College of Architecture enthusiastically participated in the Tree Plantation Initiative on 11th January, 2020. The main aim was to plant more trees to negate the harmful effects of deforestation. A student named Shruti Chaskar took the lead and explained the harmful effects of deforestation to the environment. Then the students planted the saplings in the Cidco Garden, Sector 16, New Panvel. More than 50 saplings were planted on that day. The Program concluded with all participants taking an oath to nurture the trees and protect the environment. The Chief-Guest for the Event were Tejas Kandpile, Panvel Municipal Corporation Corporator Former Corporator Shubhash Bhujbal, Gaurav Hingne, Assistant Engineer with Cidco Panvel, Shailesh Gaikwad, Health Inspector at PMC and Rakesh Bhujbal of PMC.
