Aim:
Connecting the dots between Profession and Academics.

Objective:

  1. Bridging the gap between profession and academics and creating awareness about IIA.
  2. Maharera – requirement, role, responsibilities & liabilities of the Architect
  3. Brief overview of relevant sections of MRTP Act, 1966 & Brown field development
    (Redevelopment of Co-op. Hsg. Societies / Tenanted properties)
  4. Connect IIA members with students and colleges.

The session started with the introduction to the event by Prof. Sarojini Lohot and the initiative taken by IIA KDC. Bridging the gap between profession and academics. Ar. Vinay took over the stage and explained the role of IIA and activities conducted by them. He started conversing one to one with the students and understanding how much the students are aware of rule and regulations and informed them why Maharera act came into force. Ar. Ninad Vaidya explained the Maharera rules and the major difference between the carpet area calculation. Understanding the rule and guidelines of real estate development and transactions. Ar. Sandeep Paranjpe gave insights on MRTP Act, its practical applications in town planning. Understanding how MRTP impacts urban development.

The session ended with Q & A Session. Students asked question regarding their current design project and rules to be considered while designing high rise residential bldg.
