On the occasion of World Photography Day, the Photography Club of Pillai College of Architecture (PiCA) successfully organized a photography competition at the MES level. The event aimed to provide a platform for students from various departments to showcase their photography skills and creativity.
The competition was open to students from all departments, and participants were required to submit their photographs according to the guidelines and themes specified in the poster and guidelines document (attached). A panel of judges evaluated the submissions based on creativity, composition, and technical skills.
The objective of the competition was to celebrate World Photography Day and provide an opportunity for students to express their artistic vision through photography.
The competition received an overwhelming response from students across various departments, with 45 participants submitting their work.
The results of the competition were announced on 19th August 2025 on the occasion of WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY via Instagram. The winners in different categories were as follows:

Popular Choice Award: Tessy Thomas
Prizes and Recognition:
The recipient of the Popular Choice Award received a cash prize of, ₹1000. The Winner of the competition was awarded ₹2500, while the First and Second Runners-up received ₹1500 and ₹1000 respectively, along with certificates.
This competition provided students with an excellent platform to demonstrate their photography talent. The online format ensured broad accessibility and engagement, making the event a great success.
