Aim:
To provide an in-depth understanding of performance glass selection criteria and technical analysis for optimizing building design and energy efficiency.

Objective:
To explore key factors influencing glass selection, including climate, building orientation, and energy codes.
To explain the manufacturing processes of float and coated glass.
To introduce advanced glass performance metrics and their application in building simulations.

Content:
Ar. Hema Mulchandani Technical Service Area Manager for Guardian Glass Company, gave introduction to Guardian Glass Company, and showcased some of their projects using glass and explained the details of using glass to the students.

Video on manufacturing Process of the glass and how the coating of the glass is done was shown to the students. She highlighted their respective steps and applications in creating high-performance glass products.

Glass selection criteria considering the WWR , VLT, SHGC, U-value was explained.

Technical analysis: daylighting, energy simulation, and acoustic performance was shown to students lastly.
