On 23rd December, 2022, the S.Y. B.Arch. batch of Pillai College of Architecture had organized an eventful Freshers for the new batch of baby PiCAN’s in the Auditorium of the campus at 4 p.m. The event was graced by the presence of the faculty of PiCA and the batches of PiCA.
The commencement of the event happened on a very healthy, cheerful note with the introduction of a few baby PiCANs. We got to know a little bit more about each of them. This introductory panel was followed up by an energetic dance performance by our very own juniors. After having another set of 10 juniors’ introductions, a soulful duet performance took place by Shanu and Bhakti from the first-year batch.
Continuing with getting to know some more of our talented juniors, they were invited upon stage and entertained the audience. Soon, Jayant, the guitarist baby PiCAN set the stage on fire with his singing skills!
Next up, after a few more introductions, the 2nd years namely; Divya, Janhavi K. and Sejal were present on stage to mesmerize everyone with their dance. Bonding with more first-years’ was enjoyable. This was lined up by the famous duo of Reia and Shweta from 2nd years! Sejal continued to groove on a few songs after another introductory session from the juniors, which was amazing too. The event included more performances from 2nd years and 1st years which enhanced the evening.
To encapsulate the essence of Freshers 2022, the titles of Mr. and Ms. Freshers were given away to Satyajit Suryavanshi and Unnati Dasale! Jayant Thakkar was given the appreciation for best outfit and similarly, the best entertainer was Chaitanya Shelar. The event ended with the distribution of refreshments to everyone. The event was concluded with a warm note of gratitude.
