The students of Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai’s College of Architecture, New Panvel celebrated Friendship Day on 6th August, 2021. Making new friends can be an exciting experience, but we can achieve this easily if we move outside our comfort zones and try something new. Making new friends opens up new opportunities. Having friends who can also teach and broaden your worldview is beneficial, although getting over the initial awkward stages can be a bit challenging, but it was made easy and super fun through this event.
How is the day celebrated?
Since the students use the online platform, it is difficult for them to bond with one another. Hence, this initiative was taken so that students could interact with each other.
In groups of five, four students – one from each year – and a mentor had to incorporate poetry, memes, Instagram reels, comics, quotes and memes as a way to display their creativity.
It began with a welcome of the new council members of Senate 2021-22 on Online Platform-Zoom. In addition, the hosts displayed the different creative entries by the students with the support of their mentors. Throughout the session, hosts asked fun and engaging questions. The submissions received by students were fascinating and innovative. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Roshni Tiwari.
We received in total 23 entries. Here are few entries from each house and the points earned by each house at the end also the winning house.
Total 128 people were present during the event including the faculties.
