International Women’s Day Celebration on Disability and Gender Rights Activist by Ms. Nidhi Goyal

This year, on 8th March 2021 we planned to honor Ms. Nidhi Goyal, a disability and gender rights activist, with the Soroptimist Excellence Award.

An hour long virtual ceremony was held at 11.30 am on the zoom platform. The event was organized in association with the Women’s development cell of Mahatma Education Society’s College of Commerce, Management and Engineering.

The event started with the welcome address by Dr. Daphne Pillai, Founder president, SIBC. Dr. Smita Dalvi (member of women development cell) introduced Ms. Nidhi Goyal. She explained her journey and the exemplary work done by Rising Flame. Citation and Trophy was presented by SIBC Present Ms. Yvette Lee.

The program was attended by more than 200 students and faculty members with question and answer session and were overwhelmed.

The programe ended with the vote of thanks given by Dr. Celina Joy(Executive Committee member-SIBC)
