Krishna Janmashtami, the festival celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion at PiCA. The event featured a range of traditional and cultural activities, bringing together devotees from all walks of life to honor the divine incarnation of Lord Krishna.
The Krishna Janmashtami celebration at the Ground Floor Studio was a delightful and spirited event, bringing together PICA students and faculty to honor the birth of Lord Krishna. The event was marked by a range of engaging activities, including games, songs, and a traditional Dahi Handi competition, all enjoyed in a festive and inclusive atmosphere. The venue was beautifully adorned with vibrant decorations reflecting the spirit of Vrindavan, including colorful flowers, lights, and traditional motifs.
One of the main attractions was the Blind Dahi Handi competition, a traditional event where participants attempted to break a clay pot filled with flowers while blindfolded. This activity was met with great enthusiasm and cheer, as teams competed to showcase their skill and teamwork.The event saw enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty, who engaged actively in all activities and contributed to the festive atmosphere.
Special shout-outs and appreciation were given to those who demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm and team spirit, enhancing the overall experience of the celebration.
The feedback from participants was highly positive, with many praising the variety of activities and the overall organization of the event. The Blind Dahi Handi was particularly enjoyed for its traditional appeal and fun element.
