Marathi Diwas Celebration at Pillai College of Architecture, New Panvel On 1st March, 2024, Pillai College of Architecture hosted a vibrant celebration to commemorate Marathi Diwas, organized by the Student Council. The event commenced with the esteemed presence of the college Principal Dr. Sudnya Mahimkar and senior faculty members, who inaugurated the ceremony through a traditional lamp lighting ritual.
The festivities delved into the rich heritage of the Marathi language, enlightening attendees about its origin and significance. Students showcased their cultural fervor through dynamic dance performances set to melodious Marathi tunes, captivating the audience with their rhythmic movements. The program featured a poignant skit and Powada dedicated to the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, paying homage to his valor and legacy. Faculty members actively engaged in the event, with Prof. Maoshmi ,Prof. Suvarna Thakare and Prof. Shubhangi Bhide sharing evocative poems centered on architecture and the bonds of friendship. Adding a touch of humor and creativity, second-year student Ms. Rudrani Gondale delivered a captivating monoact, drawing laughter and applause from the audience. Ms. Pranjal Patil contributed a heartfelt poem, showcasing her poetic talent and emotional depth. The culmination of the event was marked by a graceful dance performance by fifth-year students, mesmerizing the audience with their skill and artistry.
