M.Arch. Urban Design Department, Pillai College of Architecture organized “Mutations 2015” at the College Campus in Sec-16, Panvel, Navi Mumbai from 17th to 19th March, 2016. This was a 3-day Exhibition of the Thesis and Studio works done by students of the Urban Design master’s program in the academic year 2015. The timings of the event were 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
The exhibition was inaugurated with a talk by Shri Ramesh N. Dengle, Additional Chief Planner (Special Projects and New Towns), CIDCO on 17th March, 2016 from 2:30 p.m. onward on “Chikhaldhara Development Plan” in the Campus Auditorium (7th Floor).
‘Mutations 2015’ has on display, the COA-NIASA National Award Runner-up and shortlisted entries along with two studio projects. This public exhibition of academic works is a continued endeavour to reach out to relevant audiences through inclusion of stakeholder collaborations and community participation in addressing real ground situations.
This exhibition also featured the initiatives of the Urban Expansion Observatory (UXO) and 3D city modelling using drone technology, UXO is a research center of Mahatma Education Society in collaboration with New York University (NYU) Stern School of Business.
