The Pillai Group of Institutions recently celebrated Shiv Jayanti on 17th March, 2024, with a vibrant and engaging event that brought together students, faculty, and guests to honor the legacy of Shivaji Maharaj. The festivities began with captivating cultural performances by students, including traditional dances and recitations of powadas, which evoked a sense of pride and admiration for Shivaji Maharaj’s valor and leadership. The venue was adorned with elaborate decorations, featuring portraits of eminent figures from Shivaji Maharaj’s court, while orange flags symbolized courage and strength, adding to the historical ambiance.
A highlight of the celebration was the spirited performance by the Dhol Pathak, whose rhythmic beats echoed throughout the campus, infusing the event with energy and excitement. Beyond the entertainment, the Shiv Jayanti celebration provided an opportunity for reflection and learning, as students and faculty engaged in discussions about Shivaji Maharaj’s life and principles.
