Event Overview
Tech Alegria 2024 marked the second edition of the flagship technical fest organized by Pillai College of Engineering (PCE). This event aimed to inspire students from various engineering disciplines by celebrating creativity, technical skills, and a collaborative spirit. Following the success of the inaugural event, Tech Alegria 2024 provided a platform for students to showcase their technical abilities, explore emerging technologies, and network with peers and professionals.
Participation from Pillai College of Architecture (PiCA)
For the first time, Pillai College of Architecture (PiCA) actively participated in Tech Alegria by organizing two key events—Tech Fashion and Material Hunt. These events highlighted the important connection between design and technology within the broader context of engineering. Prof. Ashwini Bhosale led the organization and represented PiCA in these initiatives. Information about the events, along with the student committee list, was circulated among the faculty and students, ensuring everyone was well-informed.

A team of students from PICA conducted publicity for their events by visiting various colleges over the course of a week, successfully bringing in participants.

The stage decor for the Atrium during Tech Alegria was designed by the PICA student design team, who began work and continued until Thursday night (19th September, 2024). Professors Sasmit Acharekar and Sanjay Shirgaonkar provided guidance by suggesting cost-effective ways to create a dark atmosphere in the Atrium.

The students involved in organizing and participating in the events received tremendous support from the PICA faculty, including a two-week extension on their respective submissions, which helped ease their workload and further encouraged their efforts.
