Vachan Prerna Divas 2022

On 21st October, 2022, Pillai College of Architecture celebrated National Innovation day and Vachan Prerna Divas in the 1st-floor studio of the PiCA campus at 11:30 a.m.. The event was graced by the presence of the faculty of PiCA, our esteemed Principal ma’am, and the students of the 2nd-year batch. The event commenced on an auspicious note with the Saraswati Vandana. One best book is equal to a hundred good friends and one good friend is equal to equal to a library. This is a famous quote by our former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and to commemorate him on his birth anniversary on 15th October we had professor Aditya sir who shared his views about the Missile man of India. To encapsulate the essence of Vachan Prerna divas we had the faculty and students of PiCA share their views and experiences on a book they have read and encourage others to read as well. Our senior faculty Prof. Bhide maam shared her views on two books Ujwaal Udyasathiby Baba Aamthe and Hasat Jagav by Dr. Rama Marathe, enlightening the youth on the way of living a good, happy, and productive life. Followed by a student of PiCA, Ms. Janhavi Iyer,shared her views on a fictional book Asura: Tale of the vanquished by Anand Neelkanthan that talks about Ramayana from Ravana’s perspective and his portrayal in shades of grey. To keep the light of innovation sparkling in young minds, Prof. Sarojini ma’am shared the details of competitions and the innovations young minds have created to get a step closer to efficiency.

Last but not least our principal of PiCA, Dr. Sudnya Mahimkar maam, who has been Awarded with the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Puruskar for teaching and research excellence was felicitated by the students and faculty of PiCA for her achievement. The event was concluded with a warm note of gratitude.
