Graphical representation is an effective tool in the field of urban design, allows the experts to engage with various stakeholders in an appropriate way and avails creative communication to express the ideas, presentation of the study areas and analysis. Also, in the view of students, the representation medium is not just an acceleration to urban design education as an academic progress but enabling students to keep track on the study required to add value to the progress effectively. From hand-drawn sketches to well refined graphical representations help transform abstract understandings of the studies into concrete drawings/maps/sketches that can be understood and evaluated in a productive manner.
The workshop on urban design graphical representation is designed to address the growing demand for graphical skills in urban design practice. By equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to create clear, expressive, and persuasive graphical representations, the workshop aims to empower them to become effective communicators and provide solutions in the field of urban design.
Aim:
To improve and explore skills in visualizing and communicating urban design ideas effectively.
