On 17th October, we celebrated Vachan Prerna Divas & innovation Day together on the occasion of Dr. APJ Abdul kalam’s Birth anniversary.
The event started with Prof. Aarti’s introduction note on the importance of the day and by suggestions for book reading for young readers or future growth, She emphasized on how reading also plays an important role in overall personal growth and can enhance the personality.
On this occasion the competition was floated to Judge the book by its cover for 1st year students, where they have to select the book of their preference and make an illustration of A3 size along with the write up to explain the book. The illustrations were displayed in the class for the jury members to review. Prof Smita Dalvi & Prof Neha Sayed were the judges for this competition.
The Competition started by Prof Aarti mam welcoming the esteemed judges. The students explained their illustrations one by one in front of the jurors. After the students segment, all the faculties present talked about their favourite book and how it impacted them and the importance of reading.
Prof Smita mam talked about the book on Charles Correa and his important contribution in our field. Prof Neha mam talked about the fictional world of Lord of the Ring book series and how it cultivates the imagination in us. Prof Mahesh karanda talked about the self-discipline while discussing Atomic Habits. And Lastly prof. aarti Talked about the Sci-fi Genre and how it opened up the new world of possibilities in her. It was very engaging discussion
The event ended with the prize distribution, where two winners were declared. The winners were felicitated with the prize & certificate by the jurors
