The PICA Student Council organized a vibrant and joyous Onam celebration aimed at bringing together faculty and students in the spirit of this traditional festival. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members, fostering a warm sense of community and cultural appreciation.
A major highlight of the celebration was the Pookalam Competition, held from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This competition provided an excellent platform for participants to showcase their creativity and artistic skills through the design of intricate floral patterns. The colorful and beautifully arranged Pookalams added a festive charm, brightening the venue and perfectly capturing the essence of Onam. The competition was conducted with students from all classes coming together, and everyone cooperated wholeheartedly, making the event even more special.
Along with the Pookalam Competition, a few fun games were also organized as part of the celebration. The winners of these games were Shravan Bhoir, Asha Bhosale, and Anushka Mhatre, whose enthusiasm added to the lively spirit of the event.
Throughout the event, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and enjoyment as everyone engaged actively in celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Onam. The vibrant spirit of camaraderie and cultural pride was evident, reflecting the collective efforts of the PICA Student Council, faculty, and students in making the occasion memorable.
