On the 4th September 2023, Mahatma School of Academics hosted a significant event designed to provide Class 12 students with valuable insights into their future career choices. The event was meticulously organized and aimed to empower these students with knowledge about the various career paths available to them following their 12th standard education. This report elaborates on the key elements of this event, from the warm welcome and guided campus tour to the informative career presentation.
Warm Welcome and Campus Tour:
The event commenced at 8:30 a.m. with a heartwarming welcome and an introduction by Professor Dr. Celina Joy. Her introduction included the faculty members from different departments, allowing the students to connect faces with the academic expertise within the institution. Following the introduction, students embarked on a comprehensive campus tour. The tour was thoughtfully planned with a prepared route map to ensure students had the opportunity to explore various aspects of the college’s facilities, providing them with a visual and tactile experience of the institution.
Career Presentation:
The highlight of the event was the career presentation led by Professor Tushara Kaliyath, which began at 11:30 a.m. This presentation was a pivotal moment for the students, as it shed light on the academic opportunities available within the institution. Professor Kaliyath provided detailed information about the courses offered by the college and emphasized the college’s affiliation with Mumbai University. This knowledge was essential for students considering higher education.
Furthermore, the presentation included an exploration of the college’s history, milestones, and an overview of the eligibility criteria for pursuing Architecture. The presentation also delved into the intricacies of “What is Architecture” and showcased the college’s infrastructure. The engaging segment on “Why Architecture is The Dream Career?” actively involved the students and encouraged them to ponder their future paths.
Highlighting College Achievements:
The presentation continued by showcasing the unique studio works and achievements of the college. It introduced students to the Social Service Group of PiCA – Anubhuti and described various workshops and hands-on experiences that sparked enthusiasm among the attendees. The display of various events hosted by PiCA, such as Marathi Diwas, Halloween, Eco Bappa, Traditional Day, College Trek, Kinesthesia, and more, was a source of excitement and inspiration for the students.
Visual Journey:
To bring the presentation to a spectacular conclusion, the students were treated to reels and short videos that visually depicted the college’s academic journey. These videos showcased events like Design Week Sem III, Allied Design Sem VI, Wet Land Day Exhibition, Traditional Day, and the 4th Year Study Tour. These visual representations left a lasting impact on the students, and each video screening was met with enthusiastic applause, enhancing the overall experience.
The event concluded with Professor Tushara expressing her gratitude to all attendees and extending her best wishes to the students as they prepare to embark on their future endeavors. This final message of encouragement and support reinforced the sense of empowerment and motivation instilled throughout the event.
