Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Competition

Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Competition – the ‘first runner up’ and ‘transformative ideas’ awards won by PiCA M.Arch. (Urban Design) Students

We are very happy to share that all the 3 teams from M.Arch. Urban Design program at PiCA bagged 2 out of the total 8 awards, securing the first runner up and best transformative ideas prizes respectively. in the Mumbai Metro MMRC-ORF competition;

There were a total of 51 teams in this competition, of which all our 3 teams made it to the final 16. This competition is the culmination of almost six months of a process leading up to the design intervention. The teams were mentored by Richa Sharma with the support of in-house faculty team of Madhavi Patil, Sanghamitra Barthakur and Kavita Sawant. The competition was one of its kind that allowed students to work on a live project. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to MMRC, ORF and their entire competition support team of mentors and jurors for having given this opportunity to academic institutions and guided us all through.

Great achievement for the teams and the Urban Design department at PiCA.
Congratulations All!!
